AI Won't Take Over the WorldAI Won't Take Over the World

Prof Yann LeCun, one of the “godfathers of AI”, said fears regarding artificial intelligence taking on human jobs and posing a risk to humanity have been ridiculous. While computers may also turn out to be extra wise than people inside the destiny, there is no need for concern as researchers would now not create whatever unsafe. “AI Won’t Take Over the World”!

LeCun won the Turing Award with Geoffrey Hinton and Yoshua Bengio for their breakthroughs in AI back in 2018. All three became known as “the godfathers of AI”. Currently serving as chief AI scientist at Meta, parent company to Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp; he disagrees with his fellow godfathers that AI is a risk to the human race.

“Will AI take over the world? No, this is a projection of human nature on machines,” says Prof LeCun. He believes it would be a huge mistake to keep research on Artificial Intelligence (AI) under lock and key.

Meta has an extensive research program focused on producing safe systems with common sense features like remembering, reasoning and planning. This approach aims at creating intelligent systems capable enough to act like humans while being safe from any potential harm caused by them.

In addition to its research program focus on safety measures against harmful social media posts using artificial intelligence technology where applicable. With such innovative solutions already available today through companies such as Meta or other tech giants like Google’s DeepMind project – we can rest assured that these technologies will continue evolving fast without endangering us all!

People who worry about how much power algorithms have often do so because they cannot imagine how they could ever be made truly safe, however Prof LeCun argued otherwise saying “It’s as if you asked someone in 1930 how are you going make turbo-jet planes safe?”

Turbojets were not invented yet during this time, similarly human level AI has not been invented yet. However, turbojets were eventually made incredibly reliable and safe, and the same would happen with AI said LeCun.

LeCun also spoke about his own work in so-called Objective Driven AI that aims to produce safe systems capable of remembering, reasoning, planning and having common sense features. These are popular characteristics of chatbots like ChatGPT.

In conclusion, there is no need for concern regarding artificial intelligence taking over human jobs or posing a threat to humanity. As long as researchers continue working on creating safe systems through their research programs such as Meta’s extensive program focused on producing intelligent systems with common-sense features; we can rest assured that there will be no danger posed by these technologies.

Moreover, we should embrace such innovative solutions available today through companies like Meta or other tech giants like Google’s DeepMind project – which have already demonstrated how these technologies can help us solve complex problems while ensuring our safety at all times!
